We strengthen the capacity of young African scholars in generating, and disseminating evidence-based results to inform future action plans for policy makers.
- CARE through constant capacity building workshops, IFAD-CARE provides access to wealth of experience through seasoned facilitators that provide top-notch trainings for young scholars and media intermediaries in Africa. Touching areas such as policy-brief writing, story-telling, report writing, communication: coding and decoding; e.t.c.
- CARE also employs a coaching and mentoring program to enhance young scholars’ research skills. The coaching and training focus on developing research knowledge and skills. This involves bringing students and young scholars to IITA stations to work on their research projects and developing their skills and competencies and establishing them as scholars in their fields.
- The project provides Research Grant Scheme aimed to improve young professional and students’ research skills and problem-solving capabilities and developing competencies in R4D.
- Each awardee is given individual advice on his or her research career focusing on both scientific objectives and personal development.
