Karen Ayabei is a postgraduate student at the school of Agriculture, Fertilizers and Environmental Science (ESAFE), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).

Karen is keen on working with smallholder young farmers in sub-Saharan Africa through research to help combat the effects of climate change. Prior to joining UM6P, Karen worked extensively with the smallholder farmer in East Africa.

She is presently a grantee of the “Enhancing Capacity to Apply Research Evidence (CARE) in policy for youth engagement in agribusiness and rural economic activities in Africa” project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and being implemented by IITA.
