Frejus Thoto is a national of Benin and PhD Student in Agricultural Economics. He has experience in food security and sustainable agriculture and has managed several policy-research programs in collaboration with universities such as the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
He has also spent two years at the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), a specialized agency of the African Union (AU), as Knowledge Management Expert working on policy-research and knowledge sharing on critical issues for the African continent.
Frejus is actively involved in different initiatives aiming to connect evidence to policy and practice. This research funded by IFAD and being implemented by IITA aims at providing evidence-based policy options to promote more formal opportunity-driven agricultural entrepreneurship.
