Seyingbo, Adedotun

Adedotun Seyingbo, is an enthusiastic young and dynamic professional with a broad-based knowledge and experience in the field of Development Economics, Local Economic Development Strategies (LEDs), Policy Development, and Public-sector management. He is an economist and a qualified accountant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Adedotun currently works as a Reform Facilitator for DFID’s Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL) governance programme – building partnerships, facilitating conversations and actions under the Accountable, Responsible & Capable government arm, to enhance effective public sector performance and good governance in the Southwest Region of Nigeria. Prior to joining DFID-PERL, Adedotun worked as the Team Lead, Economic Competitiveness at the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, a technocratic organization set up by the governments of the States of Western Nigeria to manage the regional integration programme of States in the Region. While at DAWN Commission, his desk focused on forging requisite coalition and partnerships for the development of strategies and programmes for the optimization of the Region’s critical anchor sectors – Agriculture, Solid Minerals, Construction etc.

Adedotun also coordinated many engagements of the Commission with international organizations including the World Bank, ICF, UK-DFID amongst others to research into critical issues in the Southwest Region.

Adedotun holds a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan and currently runs his doctorate degree in Economics, specializing in Development Economics also at the University of Ibadan.
